Born in North Carolina in 1984, Critter began working as a graphic designer in 2008. His clients have included Red Hat, IBM, NC State University, and more. In 2009 he began self-publishing handmade artist’s books. In 2016 he launched Things Change Over Time, and its Normal Fetish imprint. With these two companies he began self-publishing short-run print-on-demand art books.

Things Change Over Time books are meticulously designed. Most are printed in limited quantities, modified, signed, and numbered. Critter’s work is often reminiscent of beloved precedents, and this is readily evident in his books. See for instance Flop, Inferior Quotations, Lisa, and Stations.
